David Viviano named Michigan Supreme Court Justice

It is with much excitement that we announce one of Viviano Law’s founding partners (and brother of firm partner Joseph Viviano) has been appointed as the next state Supreme Court justice.

In 2006, David was elected to the Macomb County Circuit Court where he served as chief judge.  Before becoming a judge, David worked as an attorney with the Detroit law firm of Dickinson Wright, and Jenner & Block in Chicago.  He has also been the city attorney for Center Line.

In his announcement, Gov. Rick Snyder said of David:

“Judge Viviano has a distinguished record of judicial integrity and innovation.  His deep respect for the judicial branch of government and his commitment to the rule of law will serve Michigan well. I have every confidence that he will be a compassionate, principled justice. He is an outstanding addition to the Michigan Supreme Court.”  – Gov. Rick Snyder

We couldn’t be more proud of David and all of his accomplishments.  Please join us in wishing him well in his new position.
